Terms Of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Wells Websites, a web design and development business based in Oxfordshire, UK. By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services We Offer

We provide a range of website-related services, including but not limited to:

  • Website design and development
  • Hosting and support
  • Logo and graphic design
  • Copywriting and SEO optimisation
  • Social media management
  • Marketing email design

You can purchase these services individually or as part of one of our monthly plans: Launch, Grow, or Thrive.

2. Payment Terms

  • Individual Services: Require a 25% deposit upfront. The remaining 75% is due upon completion and approval of the work.
  • Monthly Plans: Billed monthly with no upfront fees. Payment is due at the start of each billing cycle.
  • Website Ownership (Monthly Plans): The full rights to the website design and build remain the property of Wells Websites until at least 6 consecutive months of subscription payments have ben completed. After 6 months, ownership of the design transfers to the client in full. This protects against early cancellation and misuse of our work.
  • If a client cancels before 6 months, the website remains active for the remainder of the paid period but may not be transferred or reused elsewhere.
  • All prices are in GBP and may be subject to VAT where applicable.
  • Late payments may result in service suspension or additional fees.

3. Project Delivery

  • Unlimited revisions apply only within a reasonable scope and time frame.
  • Turnaround times will be discussed during on boarding and my vary based on project scope and complexity.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • One-off projects: Deposits are non-refundable once work has started.
  • Monthly plans: Can be canceled at any time. Services remain active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.
  • Any cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.

5. Client Responsibilities

To ensure smooth delivery, clients must:

  • Provide timely access to content, brand materials and approvals
  • Review and respond to design drafts or queries within a reasonable time frame
  • Maintain any login credentials securely

Failure to respond for an extended period may result in project closure or re-quote.

6. Hosting & Support

  • Basic Hosting includes shared hosting with limited bandwidth and email addresses.
  • Premium Hosting includes increased resources, advanced analytics, and unlimited email addresses.
  • While we strive for high uptime (up to 99.99%), we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for downtime caused by third-party providers.

7. Design & Intellectual Property

  • You retain full rights to all completed and paid-for designs.
  • We reserve the right to display completed projects in our portfolio and marketing (unless otherwise agreed).
  • Use of third-party assets will be licensed appropriately, and any limitations will be disclosed

8. Limitation of Liability

While we make every effort to ensure your website performs well and is secure, we are not liable for:

  • Losses caused by third-party service disruptions
  • Issues caused by client modifications to live websites
  • Business losses or indirect damages

We recommend clients maintain appropriate website backups and business insurance.

9. Service Modifications

We may update or modify our service offerings and pricing from time to time. Clients on monthly plans will be notified in advance of any material changes.
